As a technology company, human capital is Mindtree’s most significant asset and brand. And so, continuously enhancing the workplace experience is top priority. As part of which, they have identified workplace ergonomics and replaced over 16,000 desk seating, based on Ergo survey and user feedback. Workplace task lighting was changed to LED with optimal lux level. They’ve also created interactive indoor and outdoor garden spaces for people to collaborate and bond.
“The demographics of workplace and the complexity of workplace expectation with different stakeholders are changing rapidly. Workplace technologies can help address these challenges and also help enhance the way people interact and consume the services delivered. We have automated the transport systems, cafe management system, carpooling, FM MIS dashboards, employee feedback system and other critical systems with IoT, and energy sensors-based technology application to meet the ever-evolving demands of the workplace,” declares Kannan.
Over the last three years, Mindtree have moved to over 60% of their energy demands to clean/renewable sources (solar) through Power Purchase Agreements. This helped bring down the GHG emissions by over 50% over the last three years and cost per unit of power down by over 15%.
