The facility management team, with which Bose works, is different from that required for other industries. They not only have to manage facilities in multiple locations with different geographical and logistical constraints, but since the sizes of these facilities are not big enough to implement a centralised facility management system, cost plays a crucial role. Plus, the logistics and varied topography is also an additional challenge.

Indusind drives activities to become a green and eco-friendly organisation, always looking for ways to prevent wastage of resources. With motion sensor lighting systems, the company prevents energy wastage and saves around 5-7% of the total electricity cost. The entity strives to work towards building green projects, i.e. by using solar energy to power ATMs, which also enhances the extension of banking facilities to rural areas where power supply is inconsistent.
Since maintaining the same standard and quality is a pre-requisite for Indusind, it becomes difficult for the team to obtain standard materials at all locations. Often, materials need to be sourced from bigger cities, and hence, the transport and maintenance cost increase drastically. Given that the decision for setting up branches and office locations are business driven, Bose states that they do not have the privilege to select sites where modern amenities are easily available; and the team has adapted suitable methodologies accordingly.”
