Sitting at a computer for long hours or staying in the same position for a period of time are factors that tend to make employees feel restless and uncomfortable. Working with the correct height enables employees to obtain optimal postures and increased job satisfaction, which helps them work actively and increase their productivity too. Addressing this, JLT India installed height adjustable workstation, eradicating various problems with one solution. They also boast of treadmill workstations, which enables employees to exercise whilst working.

“To ensure proper hygiene, a study was conducted to identify seating locations for women employees and their proximity to washrooms as they are frequent users. From the study conducted, we were able to identify that some hygiene bins were overloaded whereas some were underutilised. We went on to add bins and place them strategically,” explains Ajesh.

Having an open terrace cafeteria brings along with it a spate of difficulties too. Pigeon menace is one which the team had to deal with for a long time, until a solution was found. A part of the JLT cafeteria is a covered air-conditioned area with open sliding doors that lead to the outdoor seating section. They covered the used plate stacking racks that were left in the open and also placed a net horizontal to the ceiling of the cafeteria at a height that did not permit the pigeons to go up and perch any longer.
