Allroy Collaco
Since administration departments are typically customer-oriented FICCI redefined and aligned the administrative processes with their customer’s requirements to capture all possible faults before it reached the end-users. It was a major task, as there were 24 processes that needed to be mapped to increase the customer satisfaction rating of 3.75 out of five points.
Previously, all activities related to facility operations were planned in silos, without considering the organisation’s mission, goals or objectives. That is when Collaco and his team aligned the functions to the mission, fixed KPIs that were monitored, and as a result significantly improved the service quality. Mobile applications for all facilities staff were provided. This enabled portability and ease-of-use to conduct inspections and contribute to increased productivity of the operations.
A honorary board member on the board of iNFHRA, a body that aligns itself with the evolving facets of the industry, Collaco believes that technology is “rapidly changing the way we do business and the way we use different technologies, like BIM, which will help and support sustainable management of buildings.” The use of IoT will help improve productivity and efficiency, whether it is used for energy management or transportation. Furthermore, automated systems can help reduce labour cost and more effectively manage building. Integration through CAFM software can help in space planning applications, while collaborative design of offices is another step that can increase efficiency and productivity.
