For the last 10 years, Fidelity National Financial India had been operating out of a facility that needed an overhaul. They first conducted a risk-assessment and after seeing the results, decided to move into a different location. The team then shortlisted a location in a reputable park, keeping in mind all site parameters. The project design was outsourced to a leading Indian firm, who put together a site that had vibrant colours to match the mood of the young employees. Open and uncluttered spaces, sufficient LED lighting, enough storage rooms, collaborative spaces, meetings rooms, etc, were fashioned to keep the spirits of employees and clients up.
Each floor adorns a colour concept and is an amalgamation of two different cultures vis-a-vis India and US. One can see traditional and ethnic rangoli designs and paintings on walls, pillars and ceilings, and graphics that represent the places of significance in Bengaluru and Florida. Motivational quotes and company precepts cover the walls to enthuse employees. This was a miss at our old facility and it lacked the look and feel of an MNC. Additionally, we incorporated BMS in our new facility, through which we controlled the ACs and monitored the UPS.
“As any security personnel, one of the common concerns that our physical security faces, is that of tailgating. We have installed one of the finest methodologies to control this and synchronised our systems with an active directory to ensure that employees do not tailgate as they come to work. It has made them more conscious and responsible, while helping make our security controls stronger and more stringent,” elaborates Mohan.
