CA Technologies upgraded their transport service to eliminate cumbersome paperwork, frauds and indiscipline. This resulted in huge savings with improvement on all metrics like time schedules, customer satisfaction, etc. They ensured that the FM team was involved in all project discussions to better align the upkeep and maintenance in the future. The team implemented SOPs for all services across all facilities to ensure consistency. All the key metrics were reviewed for continuous improvement and efficiency.
“It is evident that a management would want to make the best out of its existing resources. The FM team, hence, faces pressure to perform at utmost precision. With few resources, one has to find the most effective way for efficient functioning. Abundant resources will allow for exploitation of different aspects present in the industry and improve service delivery. However, the team is often limited (due to limited resources) by what the organisation can afford, thus service delivery is altered,” explains Tallapragada.
However, he believe that the resources available for FM services are not meeting the quality norms in terms of knowledge, passion and commitment; and vendors are not mature enough to deliver on commitment and quality consistently.
