Dalmia Bharat Group has grown manifold in multiple areas and sectors over the years. Growth brings the need to have more space, headcount planning and adequate support within the infrastructure. This is where their facilities team took up speedy action with due compliances. Meeting deadlines, conquering space challenges, adequate parking and infrastructure support were some of the key points of consideration.
“Proper planning, communication, leveraging technology and thought-through budgeting always comes handy. My recommendation is to adopt industry standards, keep evaluating and re-evaluating current processes, eliminate redundancy and have adequate support system. Once the basics are in place, growth will not impact well laid-out facility operations,” expounds Lal.
The infrastructure and facilities team proposed to take an additional floor by merging few flats from different owners. While processing the proposal, they looked for alternate options in the market as well and analysed stakeholder requirements to try and meet/exceed the expectations. The floor is now operational with a combined seating capacity of 100 employees.
With the Dalmia family growing at a rapid pace, they introduced changes for the betterment of prime services, keeping in view all the compliances and hygiene factors. “Changes are always helpful, especially when they drive employees and the organisation towards betterment,” sums up Lal.
