CEAT
In today’s fast-paced world, it is important for facility managers to be agile and align themselves to the business quickly and define their current strategies that frame every decision, large and small. Various strategies are followed at CEAT for an effective facility operation.
The company received the prestigious Deming Award last year in the TQM (Total Quality Management) sector. “Following the QBM approach has now been a part of our day-to-day FM work and we designed Facility Quality Management System. This system creates an equation between a Service Level Agreement (SLA) and the Facility Operating Plan (FOP). The SLA defines the deal, the relationship and terms of contract with service provider. An FOP documents the scope, standards and processes. It is a living document that underpins the facility manager’s accountability to organise, perform, measure and improve the work continuously through PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act),” explains Deore.
Additionally, outsourcing services helps CEAT reduce the staffing cost and liability of company, ensuring better compliance. Benchmarking allows for performance comparison, differences identification, alternative approach finding and assessing the same. This ultimately leads to improved implementation of the change and proper monitoring of the outcome.
