Punjabi says office designs today are trending towards spaces that lend a comfortable atmosphere of leisure and freedom unlike offices of the past. “Offices now demand an informal layout planning along with lots of open, collaborative spaces for impromptu interactions between team members. Workdesks are shrinking and so are the gadgets they hold, wires are being replaced by wireless technology; lighting is occupancy based, and all these elements ensure efficiency,” he says.
