Sudeep Ghoshal
Ghoshal believes that it is important for the facilities and infrastructure teams to keep abreast with new technologies and adapt the ones relevant to their industry and functioning. “We have gone ahead with automation of various major functions like helpdesk management, contract management, space management, asset management, conference room booking system, visitor management system, self-booking tool for travel and integrated BMS system. These have helped us monitor and measure our performance, which in turn has helped improve our employee satisfaction survey results and efficiency, in terms of managing vendor contracts and space,” says Ghoshal.
Reliance Capital is committed to be environmentally conscious in the discharge of duties and conduct business in a sustainable manner while enhancing the quality of life for employees, visitors and neighbours. To improve resource efficiency in operations and minimise energy consumption, the company has adopted the 3-R principle — Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. It has taken measures like commissioning of STP and recycling of waste water to ensure zero discharge of waste water. Additionally, Reliance Capital has initiated the adoption of renewable energy for GHQ. As a response to remedy a known environmental hazard, it has stopped consumption of plastic bottled water in the premises, and are actively promoting green procurement for services and are engaging with vendor partners to do the same.
“We strive to create a work environment, where employees seek to eliminate or lower the potential for injuries and health risks. In addition to the gymnasium facilities, employees are encouraged to keep themselves healthy by taking regular breaks and moving out of their workstations, using staircases instead of elevators, conducting lectures on right posture while working, diet consultation, medical check-up camps, providing healthy diet in the cafeteria, etc. These measures have overall helped in reducing absenteeism and increasing employee productivity,” shares Ghoshal.
