As a design firm, its critical for architects today to work in sync with facility managers through the complete design process. Opining on the same, Chandavarkar states that, “The FM profession is still evolving. Before now, managing a facility was a reactive process of solving problems. As architects, we must aspire for the evolution of FM to this stage and do whatever we can to support it. Because once it happens, facility managers will become valued collaborators in the design process.”
Chandavarkar adds, “The profession of facility management is relatively new and is still evolving.
