The administration department is a customer-oriented department and, at FICCI, the processes were redefined and aligned with the customer for capturing all the possible faults before it reaches the customer. It was a major task to align all 24 administrative processes. After the audit and a customer satisfaction survey, FICCI achieved a rating of 3.75/5, working to increase the score.

Previously, all facility operation activities were planned in silos without considering the organisation’s goals, mission and objectives. Collaco and his team aligned to the mission and fixed KPIs that were monitored and a significant improvement in the service quality was observed. Mobile applications for all facilities staff were provided. This enabled portability and ease for all users to conduct inspections and contribute to increased productivity of the operations.

Collaco believes that technology is rapidly changing the way we do business and use of different technologies, like BIM, will help and support sustainable management of buildings. Use of IoT will help improve productivity and efficiency, whether used for energy management or transportation. Furthermore, automated systems can help reduce labour cost and more effectively manage building. Integration through CAFM software can help in space planning applications and collaborative office design is another step that can increase efficiency and productivity.
