Modern workspaces blur the lines of the work area from concentrated to collaborated, such that there are more co-working spaces that help employees work with an open mind, believe the firm’s founders.
At GNA, Shetty and Varma work to make spaces open, flexible and modular. This allows the design to evolve based on the needs of the client. Keeping it modular maximises office spaces and prevents the area from being cluttered. Flexibility is added to let the layout be reconfigured according to need. And finally, open planning is adopted to give more breathing space to the structure. Services such as lighting, ventilation, air conditioning, etc, are worked out based on grids to meet the changing dynamics of the office projects.
Often, at GNA, the team is invited to dissect every design and detail to come up with a combined, collective experience. “Our team has grown to encompass artists, product designers, sculptors, lighting designers, etc, who we liaison with closely to enhance almost every project. Our projects are an effortless blend of Indian contemporary combined with seamless comfort, luxury and utility…a true expression of oneself,” Shetty and Varma point out.
