Specific to the building and the segment that the FMs cater to and the industry as a whole, the lack of professionalism and transparency among small vendors, absence of quality in tier 3 and tier 4 cities and a reluctance to adopt best practices across the geography prevails. Narayan explains, “The ‘office in a box’ concept ensures that all our offices have a standard design and layout. All items are procured centrally but assembled and installed by the local team, such that all offices have the same look and feel. Integrated FM lets the vendor to take care of all minor works in this setup. We have common pan-India vendors who bring standardisation and allow for cost savings across the board.”
