Upadhyay shares the biggest challenges faced by FM: “There are complications in getting appropriate and timely vendor support at our branches as many operate in remote locations. Also, pan-India vendor availability for standardisation of material supply and periodic maintenance is a constant worry. At times, we need to send the materials to our regional offices for R&M support, which ultimately increase TAT and costs.”

However, the company practices many strategies to smoothen operations and management. Branch Health Monitor is a tool developed in-house for branch employees to report all their facilities issues. Post implementing the premises agreement tracker tool, they monitor all agreements along with LL details and proof of ownership, uploaded by RO admin, before relocating or expiry of the agreement. The meeting room booking tool has ensured appropriate utilisation of meeting rooms and ensuring its availability for planned meetings. Electrical audits, LED light replacement, removal of un-utilised equipments, etc, have resulted in huge saving in electricity as well.
