Khanna has been steadfast and innovative in pioneering many changes and introducing new systems,
models and working systems in the realms of FM, Property Management, and Estate and Portfolio Management. He feels that the inability to plan long-term goals is a major challenge as the environment and customer requirements in IT/ITES industry is changing and evolving rapidly.

“The lack of standardisation and transparency in real estate transactions becomes a hiccup in the path to optimised operations among different verticals of the system,” shares Khanna. As an antidote, Optum Global Solutions created a standard staffing template of development for newly acquired company, city or cluster. The company designed its offices based on template standards set after elaborate discussions with internal customer leadership.

“In the face of soaring energy costs and growing concerns about the environmental impact of existing industrial infrastructure, facility managements are increasingly tasked to find ways to shrink a building’s carbon footprint and to adhere to the company’s eco-friendly policies. High on the list of environment-related priorities are finding better ways to manage waste and to consume less energy overall. Lifecycle sustainability has also become a significant consideration in making purchasing decisions. We took initiatives to get various standardisation certifications like ISO 27001, OSHAS 18001, LEED ratings to existing and new centres across Optum.”
