Mumbai gets its first Steelcase WorkLife Centre (WLC), an interactive display centre showcasing the best in office furniture and solutions. Following the success of WLC in Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, this centre is designed using its interconnected workplace research principles and offers a palette of place, postures and presence in its showcasing of Steelcase and Coalesse range of products. “Steelcase is helping organisations in India amplify their employees’ performance through physical environments,” explained Jason Heredia, vice president, marketing APAC, Steelcase. Stemming from the company’s most recent research on the privacy crisis at workplaces with Susan Cain, an internationally-renowned US-based author and researcher, the Mumbai WLC presents private spaces like the Hosu room. It is designed for focused work, following findings that only 17% of the highly-disengaged and dissatisfied Indian employees (as high as 91%) had “the ability to concentrate easily.”
