A programme for the architects and by the architects, Architectonics was successful in fulfilling its aim of creating and understanding the synergy between MEP professionals and the architecture community. This flagship programme launched by ISHRAE Mumbai Chapter was held on July 19 at Hotel Sahara Star Mumbai, and was a novel attempt in getting all stakeholders – from end clients, builders, architects, MEP consultants, MEP contractors, system manufacturers to service providers – on a common platform.
The event brought together over 250 delegates and decision makers from the industry, including structural, MEP, landscaping, transportation, environmental and other consultants who are responsible in improving the performance and life-cycle of buildings. During the course of the event, discussions were held on net-zero buildings, campus planning and design, ‘connecting humans with nature’, MEP in architecture; and various case studies were showcased. Attendees had the opportunity to interact and learn from key dignitaries such as Mihir Sanghavi, president, ISHRAE Mumbai Chapter; Pradeep Bakshi, managing director & CEO, Voltas Ltd.; Amod Dixit, president, ASHRAE Mumbai Chapter; RN Joshi, president elect, ISHRAE Mumbai Chapter; Hiten Sethi, principal architect, Hiten Sethi Architects; Dr. Clayton Miller, assistant professor, Department of Building, National University of Singapore; Sandeep Shikre, principal architect, SSA Architects; Vivek Bhole, principal architect, Neo Modern Architects, among other industry players.
