Aparna Kaushik Unveils Chic TV Lounge Areas

(NULL)

New-Delhi-based architect Aparna Kaushik has unveiled chic TV lounge areas that elevate the routine act of relaxing in front of the small screen to high art, and a beautiful experience.

As informal spaces for families to gather and spend some time together, the TV lounges are conceived around the members’ personality. As a result, every lounge space has its own identity and character, and showcases diverse design themes. What is common however, is the thoughtful compositions – from flooring to ceiling, walls to the furnishings and finishing touches – all details come together rhythmically.

Image-1: With a classical piano silhouetted against the flaming Honey Onyx stone, backdrop for the bar unit, this lounge area is a stunningly elegant place. The gorgeous Michael Angelo stone flooring, the delicate Murano chandelier and the Persian carpet complete the rest of the charming picture.

The extensive detailing on the heavily paneled walls in exotic veneer, the Georgian window and the fireplace in Italian marble create a rich and intimate space. The wooden flooring and the carpet further accentuate a sense of warmth and the classical vibe. The colourful traditional tribal mask adds a bold touch.

Image-3 While following a minimal and muted scheme, this lounge area brims with interesting details – coffered ceiling, wooden paneling on wall, fluted TV panel and a choice of textured cushions. An abstract painting and a modern light add much movement to the calm atmosphere. The flooring is Statuario marble.

A cosy lounge space surrounded by veneer wall paneling and Chevron wooden flooring sees a bit of drama with the wall hanging round mirror and a stunning corner light drop. The linear arrangement of paintings adds a nuanced touch to the wall panel.

A gallery of eclectic paintings adds colour and character to the mostly white lounge space with herringbone wooden floor decorated with a Persian carpet. The track lights and the modern chandelier accentuate the contemporary vibe.

Image-8 With an interesting wooden ceiling and herringbone wooden floor, this lounge space wears a sophisticated raw and laidback vibe. The minimal sliding partitions and outdoor connectivity give it an open and inviting feel one experiences in a holiday home. The modern design of the Persian carpet and the abstract painting enhance the cool quotient.
