The new TX Series escalator by Hitachi meets multiple standards mandated in India. It offers various new safety features designed with optimal user safety in mind. For example, the side portions of the steps are 8mm higher than the central portion to prevent accidents in which a users’ shoe can get caught between the step and the skirt (side wall) of the escalator.
By shortening the span dimensions by 150mm, the TX Series has made it possible to install escalators in more confined spaces where installation presents difficulties with conventional product designs. By minimising the size of the metal frame supporting the escalator’s balustrades, the TX Series’ design maximises the size of the glass surfaces and achieves greater simplicity at the entrance and exit points by reducing the number of recesses and protrusions around the hand rail.
