With an aim to create a vibrant, young, quirky and fluid office space, designer Minnie Bhatt and her team were handed over a 3000 sq.ft. site that had a small terrace attached to the office and with glazing on all side, which flooded the space with natural light.

As per the clients’ brief, the design team divided the space into two zones − one being the work area and the other a breakout zone. This office functions with flexible work hours and hence there was a lot of emphasis given to making the space energetic and yet warm and inviting.

With this brief in mind, the reception area was designed to give an informal yet inviting vibe. The design team used the company logo as a design element by creating it as a bench in metal. The backdrop to this was created with wooden planters set into a metal grid.
They designed an unusual floating workstations supported by metal members from the ceiling. The table tops are all created with pine wood finger boards and offset with a colorful metal storage pedestal.

The design highlight of the work area is the fluid electrical conduits that flow through the entire space. The team colored them a bright turquoise blue which stands out against the exposed concrete ceiling slab.
Colored glass boxes were created, against the glass façade, to place quirky art pieces. A small nook by a window with an upholstered bench with cushions, on a circular structural column, works as a reading space next to the library.

Grey IPS flooring decks the work area and laminated wood flooring for the conference room and break out area.
The conference room is designed about a foot and a half higher than the rest of the floor level with a floating detail to it. This makes the room look like a floating glass box in the space. The conference table has a bright yellow custom metal base and exposed siporex walls and also had on display a light installation with black half dome lights with red wires suspended from a single point.
The designers also created a U-pin art installation which serves as a divider between the work and break out areas.

The breakout area is divided into an indoor and an outdoor area; as this was to be a casual space the designers created an amphitheatre style seating for the staff members to sit on with cushions and spaces to stack board games. The seating is created with three finishes, the wooden finger boards, paint and artificial turf.

To bring in a playful vibe, two retro scooters have been morphed to function as seats for the wooden ledge by the window in the pantry. The furniture has been bought out and is a happy mix of swings, benches and chairs.
