CSG, a multinational corporation that provides Business Support Systems software and services, was expanding their operations and moving into a larger office.
Starting with the reception area, the office has an inviting ambience. Wooden wall panels swoop across the ceiling to give a canopy-like effect, where skylights covered with special stretch fabric provide protection while letting in sunlight. The luxurious moss wall along the corridor is the pièce de résistance.
Walking through the CSG office, one notices many examples of such earthy and rustic elements: wood beams and exposed ducts on the ceiling, a twisted rope partition, a mural in the cafeteria showcasing city scenes reminiscent of an old-world Bangalore, even the chairs and glass-topped tables are given textural intrigue with distressed wood and jute accents.
The work areas, too, have lots of little nooks where one can retreat – from cosy corners with plush sofas, low stools, colourful cushions and soothing artwork, wall-to-wall windows, to the specially designed power nap rooms that help employees reset and refocus.
