1. What is the inspiration behind your design firm’s name?
‘Fine lines’ to us signifies attention to fine detailing and intention behind lines, drawings that translate to reality.
2. What is that one design book/movie you found inspiring?
Fountain head by Ayn Rand.

3. In what ways does your personality reflect in your designs?
I think my unpredictability is reflected in the very distinctively different array of projects, each one is significantly different from the other.
4. What inspires you in your day-to-day architectural practice?
Travel for sure.
5. Who is your favourite architect?
Antonio Gaudi.

6. Do you have a signature style?
No! However, I have signature elements I like to use in any style. For example, wall murals and indoor plants.
7. The one design philosophy you swear by?
‘design adds value faster than it adds cost.’
8. The one design quote you find timeless?
‘Keep it simple, stupid’

9. A hobby that sets you apart?
Ceramics! I have made mirror frames, wall murals, candle holders, art pieces. My daughter and I have just started our own ceramic studio in an extension of our office called Clayola.
10. A message to those few young practising Architects out there?
Experiment with colours and textures, be bold, focus on detailing, be straight forward with your clients and respect your contractors.
