1. What is the inspiration behind your design firm’s name?
We initially had our brand name as Furncraft Decollage, but, since I was recognised more than the brand FDC. Hence, we chose to rebrand it to Nitin Kohli Home in 2018.
2. What is that one design book/movie you found inspiring?
Inspiration is drawn from multiple aspects and for me, every thing in daily life inspires me.

3. In what ways does your personality reflect in your designs?
Having a versatile taste and persona in art, culture, music, and traditions with a modern outlook, my designs end up reflecting who truly I am.
4. What inspires you in your day-to-day architectural practice?
Having a passion for understanding different types of people and cultures. Hence, We are constantly evolving as we are interacting with the world.
5. Who is your favourite architect?
ZAHA HADID is all time favourite as her designs are organic and fluid and still fit into the modern way of life.

6. Do you have a signature style?
Definitely Not, I don’t have a signature style. Hence, I love versatility in my work.
7. The one design philosophy you swear by?
Providing comfort to the clients beyond their vision and Simplicity and functionality are the design philosophy I swear by.
8. The one design quote you find timeless?
Design is so simple, that’s why it is so complicated.” – Paul Rand.
9. A hobby that sets you apart?
I love spending my free time in the kitchen, churning up different dishes and feeding them to the family. It allows me to do things for others.

10. A message to those few young practising Architects out there?
Recognising the need is the primary condition for design and one must take care of that while designing but also enjoy, learn and truly live the process.
11. Which design blog/page/handle do you follow avidly?
I do get inspired by all of the things in real life and all the things in the expanding world of the internet, however, I don’t follow any blogs avidly.
