1. What is the inspiration behind your design firm’s name?

The name of the entity often reflects the ethos of the brand. Design is best derived from the stories of the lives of the people. inhabiting the space. Our concrete belief in the same gave birth to The Concreate Story.

2. What is that one design book/movie you found inspiring?

The Grand Budapest hotel was a movie I saw in my second year college. It changed my idea of design and approach towards it forever. 

3. In what ways does your personality reflect in your designs?

I am a lover of expressionism. I guess that’s what each project of ours reveals. It’s an ode to the clients’ personalities through our eyes. 

4. What inspires you in your day-to-day architectural practice?

The liberty and luxury to design something new every day paves way for various factors to be inspiring. I love to read characters, I give a name to each one of them and that colourful aspect of each personality inspires me.  

5. Who is your favourite architect?

As an Indian student of architecture, you cannot not worship the great legacy left behind by BV Doshi. Anjali Mangalagiri, in todays times is very inspiring and relevant too.

6. Do you have a signature style?

I love bold and statement designs. That’s often seen in our practice through smallest of the details.

7. The one design philosophy you swear by?

Aiming for WOW. Always aim for WOW and everything else falls into place.

8. The one design quote you find timeless?

9. A hobby that sets you apart?

If daydreaming can qualify as a hobby, then I treat it as a superpower. The power to be anywhere in the entire world,a journey known only to you in my opinion gives you an edge as a designer. 

10. A message to those few young practising Architects out there?

Observe, reflect, analyse and execute.

11. Which design blog/page/handle do you follow avidly?

I am more of a free bird. I like to explore new blogs every day. If I have to mention one, it would be parrot and Lily.
