Talking about the culmination of the hard work and purpose-driven efforts put in by the nominations, the prestigious ‘Young Designer of the Year’ category was taken by Nebin Asharaf, Rubenius- Interior Wellbeing.

Project Submitted: Lustrocave- Inside a Cave of Light

Given that electricity has no form factor, they look at light as an inspiration for this concept property. A lighting solution which will communicate with the user, transforming the ambience from training mode to presentation mode to exploration mode.

What is the purpose of this?

The focus was to facilitate an experience that highlighted these priorities in the grid. To achieve the vision, they created a 80sqft spread miniature of Bangalore replica integrating the model with a lighting system that highlighted critical issue of the power supply chain.

The 12000 sqft space needed to accommodate three activities:

  1. Monitoring the transmission of electricity in the grid.
  2. Training personal to explore and adopt critical thinking.
  3. Simulating scenarios for the public to highlight bescom’s new brand vision.
