Brookfield Properties unveils its transformed Equinox campus, which brings employees closer to nature

Brookfield Properties today unveiled its reimagined Equinox campus, a transformed sustainable workplace, off Bandra Kurla Complex, a dense concrete outlay in Mumbai’s business district. The redesigned Equinox campus is the outcome of 24 months of planning and design with the goal of creating an ideal workplace in step with the needs of today’s leading companies and their employees.  Incorporating biophilic design elements into the office property, Brookfield Properties has brought nature inside the Equinox campus, providing a healthy, green and smart workplace to its tenants.

At the heart of the campus is Urbivore, a central courtyard with more than one-third of the land in green cover, 210 trees and 69,000 flowering bushes. It also offers a host of modern amenities such as a multisport arena, a multicuisine food hall, an amphitheater, an events and entertainment zone and CoWrks, an 80-seat coworking space.

The campus is one of the lowest density areas in and around the BKC business district, ensuring adequate space for social distancing among tenants, enabling them to collaborate and thrive in a safer and healthier work environment.

Alok Aggarwal, CEO and Managing Director, Brookfield Properties says, “At Brookfield Properties, we strive to create buildings and experiences that boosts productive and creative acumen of our tenants. We have transformed the Equinox campus by incorporating biophilic design principles to improve our tenant’s wellbeing and their innate connection with nature. With these unique offerings and modern amenities in place, Equinox is an ode to our commitment towards creating an ideal workplace destination.”

Equinox Campus is gold-rated, certified by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). With sustainability at the core of its operations, the campus is equipped with seamless systems like rooftop solar panels, drip irrigation, rainwater harvesting, and shared transport facilities to reduce, reuse and recycle resources. Adding to this green approach, the buildings also come with a robust central cooling system powered by MERV 13 filters for enhanced air quality, and anti-microbial coating of high contact surfaces for enhanced safety, thus enabling tenants to work and socialize in a safe and comforting office environment. Other facilities like destination-controlled elevators, digitized RFID-based access, integrated BMS, etc., ensure seamless circulation and connectivity within the campus, thus ensuring operational efficiency to a new level.
