1. What is the inspiration behind your design firm’s name?
We intricately develop and construct the design for our spaces be it restaurant or residential spaces or commercial designs hence we named our firm Design Konstruct.
2. What is that one design book/movie you found inspiring?
Mood- Interiors & Inspiration by Anne Hepfer is the book. It’s about what if instead of decorating based on a specific design philosophy, you went by pure feeling? This is the ethos of Hepfer’s book “Mood,” which showcases interiors inspired by seven emotions: happy, relaxed, energized, cozy, sexy, tranquil and nostalgic.

3. In what ways does your personality reflect in your designs?
I like to be well organized to achieve the desired work by doing it step by step. At Design Konstruct, we follow a detailed plan of action and collectively avoid functioning haphazardly as an organization as I believe in growing as a Team. This helps us track our progress and deliver on time.
4. What inspires you in your day-to-day architectural practice?
I spend a significant portion of my time at work planning and organizing details for a particular project which is something I love doing and is a primary reason why I choose the design industry. With time technology also advances so I love to learn new things with every new project.

5. Who is your favorite architect?
B.V. Doshi- Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi an architect, urban planner, and educator who has been a major influence in Indian architecture for over decades. Known for his focus on sustainability and social responsibility, and his designs reflect his deep understanding of Indian culture and tradition.
6. Do you have a signature style?
My signature style is shaped by the client’s unique vision, requirement, space and creative instincts. Having a set signature style according to me is a drawback, since we have to adapt to different design challenges and create spaces according to the requirements that are both functional and visually appealing.

7. The one design philosophy you swear by?
The design philosophy I follow is that the main goal should be to create spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
8. The one design quote you find timeless?
There are many design quotes that I find inspiring and timeless, but one of my favorites is: “Less is more.” – Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. This quote encapsulates the principle of minimalism in design, which emphasizes simplicity, clarity, and functionality. It reminds us that sometimes, the most effective design solutions are the simplest ones, and that removing unnecessary elements can often lead to a more elegant and refined final product.
9. A hobby that sets you apart?
Even as a child my favorite hobby has been home décor. I like to collect artifacts and items. I also like to capture old beautiful architecture and buildings whenever I travel, as they have fascinated me since childhood.
10. A message to those few young practicing Architects out there?
To all the young practicing architects out there, I want to offer some words of encouragement and advice. Firstly, keep learning and growing. Architecture and design is a constantly evolving field, and it’s essential to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies. Attend workshops, conferences, and seminars to learn new skills and network with other professionals. Secondly, don’t be afraid to take risks and be innovative. Embrace creativity, experiment with new materials and forms, and be open to new ideas. Lastly, be patient and persistent. Architecture is a challenging and demanding profession, and success often comes after years of hard work and dedication.
11. Which design blog/page/handle do you follow avidly?
I like to stay up to date with the latest design trends and technologies. Its always better to add a modern touch to a timeliness design every time we have a new project. I visit different places, scroll through the internet and take inspiration from the environment.
