Acrex India 2016 concluded its 26th Edition in Mumbai

ISHRAE, the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers, concluded the 26th edition of Acrex India 2016 last month. Known to be South Asia’s largest exhibition on Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Refrigerating and Building services, the exhibition will took place over three days at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC). The exhibition was inaugurated by key industry personalities, with support from ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers).

Visitors were exposed to an array of Workshops and discussions that took place around the theme –“Make in India – Infinite Opportunities for HVAC&R and the Building Services Industry” – which was primarily designed to highlight the growth areas for Indian manufacturers and SME’s through the Make in India – Smart Cities initiative. The expo this year witnessed an increase in global participation by major players from Germany, USA, Korea, China, Turkey, Japan, England, UK, France, Canada, Taiwan, Singapore, NewZealand, Thailand, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Malaysia, Vietnam and many more.

Various industry have forecasted  the domestic HVAC market to reach US$ 3.97 billion by 2019 on account of changing lifestyle, increasing per capita income, and rising expenditure by consumers on comfort solutions. Energy conversation for both residential and commercial spaces is an ongoing issue that needs to addressed for sustaining our natural resources. Management of energy requirement through Building management services (BMS), development of warehousing and cold storage development looks to offer great scope of employment.
