Red Dot for Salomon’s design

Re-inventing elegance in the bath space, Kaldewei’s latest range of bathtubs and washbasins are harmonious and organic in design. Meisterstück Incava has been created in collaboration with product designer Anke Salomon who has contrasted a softly-shaped interior with geometric exterior, creating a new elegance between straight and gently curving lines. The freestanding bathtub features an ultra narrow rim and conical enamelled panelling. “The material flows softly and gently inwards from the precise tub rim,” describes Salomon. The waste and overflow cover is enamelled in the same colour as the bathtub and emphasises this steel enamel product’s consistent materiality. The Meisterstück Incava was awarded the Red Dot Award for Product Design 2015.
