AECOM designs the New Dholera Sustainable Smart City

AECOM is expected to set a new
standard in urban design through
the Dholera Sustainable Smart City, a
development by the Government of India as
part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor.
As programme manager, it will be responsible
for implementing the infrastructure –
including roads, rails, drainage, water supply,
water treatment, sewerage, power and
energy, gas and all communication lines using
Bentley applications (to enable Dholera
to meet LEED Gold standards. Jagdish
Salgaonkar, senior VP, Dholera, said, “Dholera
Industrial City is not a project. It is nation
building, and a prime example of a smart and
sustainable city.”
