The firm started when we were just about to get married, and the firm’s name was formed by combining our last names. It is derived from the surnames of the founding partners.

2. What is that one design book/movie you found inspiring?

The most inspiring book for both of us is “The Fountainhead”. It honours the bravery of the – men who took the first steps down new paths with nothing but their vision.

3. In what ways does your personality reflect in your designs?

We are committed to mastering the innovative design process. Our speciality is translating client briefs into design direction for the path of success to practice. All our work is always about people, hence, our designs are experiential and people-centric. Aside from the aesthetic appeal, efficient planning, and material maintenance that are provided, all our initiatives are focused on end-user comfort. Additionally, we believe in having the freedom to experiment in order to meet the desired requirements while using my skills to keep up with the technicality of the project at hand and complete it on time.

4. What inspires you in your day-to-day architectural practice?

The journey has been a great process, with highs and lows, accomplishments and downfalls. The effort of overcoming challenges and continuing to learn is consistent. The real-world scenario in the industry necessitates a great deal of experimentation and learning about the profession. Furthermore, projects require effort, and self-development demands more time than anticipated. As a result, implementing revolutionary solutions and techniques inspires us in our day-to-day architectural practice as we advance in our careers.

5. Who is your favourite architect?

Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe is our favourite architect and designer and we acclaim him for the way he used rectilinear shapes to create elegant simplicity and implement the maxim “less is more.”

Every architect and designer has their style – most of our project has a contemporary design style. The contemporary home combines simplicity, clean lines, textural plays, and quiet drama to create a perfectly balanced home decor.

7. The one design philosophy you swear by?

Our design philosophy revolves around a consistent opportunity to innovate and experiment. We form a cohesive partnership with our clients, that begins with an open dialogue and evolves into trust, confidence, and collaboration. Our mission is to create beautiful, livable spaces that meet the client’s aesthetics, functional, and economic goals while respecting the environment.

9. A hobby that sets you apart?

We share a hobby of enjoying music. Depending on what we are playing or listening to, it alters our mood. Music can make us feel anything from happy or excited to sad or angry. It distinguishes us and, conversely, makes us a part of the social group.

10. A message to those few young practising Architects out there?

Focus on your goals, work with passion, and never stop learning new things! We honestly feel that the only way to succeed is to immerse yourself in the content of context, take notes, and discuss issues when you need help understanding something. Remember that every organisation/client is unique, and every project is approached differently, so learning is a never-ending process. Another important consideration is to take complete advantage of every opportunity. The finest creations are sometimes developed slowly and deliberately, and not everything is an instant success. Something is enticing about turning up to something day after day and seeing what emerges – having faith in the process of hard work and dedication while also remaining enthusiastic throughout.

11. Which design blog/page/handle do you follow avidly?

There is nothing as one, but many architecture and design pages that we avidly follow. Our go-to sources for inspiration include Archdaily, Commercial Design, Architectural Digest India, and Good Homes.
