Kirigami Collection by Orvi Surfaces

An amalgamation of the Japanese decorative art of origami and Indian craftsmanship, Kirigami collection by Orvi Surfaces comprises a remarkable set of stone surfaces that look almost like sheets of paper creased and folded into three dimensions. The artful melange intertwined with natural stones adds a touch of modern playfulness to your interior design. Through the Kirigami collection, Orvi crafts surfaces to bring the geometric patterns and sharp folds of origami into your abode creating an illusion of folded pieces of paper.

The effect is achieved by first taking flat slabs of limestone, marble or sandstone, then chiselling away selected sections to leave the un-sculpted parts seemingly raised, creating alternating zones of light and shade.

Hand-sculpted with a delicate eye for details, natural stones such as marble or limestone take new form and function with every tap of a chisel. Inspired by the age-old art of bas-relief, stone surfaces are honed and hand polished into mesmerizing displays of pure craftsmanship.

Orvi brings these handcrafted surfaces embodying striking patterns of hexagons, triangles and kite shapes, radial lines and zigzags that form steps, terraces and castellations. Constantly pushing the envelope for modern designing and timeless aesthetics, Orvi proves its prowess in high-impact innovative surfaces yet again in this spectacular line-up.
