1. What is the inspiration behind your design firm’s name?
We are passionate about design and believe that every design starts with a theme, a story, a concept. Every design has a soul, a purpose and therefore a concept; which is the starting point for us hence the name Concept Consilio India Private Limited.
2. What is that one design book/movie you found inspiring?
“A Place in Shade” is a book that I admire immensely. It’s about the works and philosophy of Charles Correa.
3. In what ways does your personality reflect in your designs?
My personality; which I feel is a vibrant, warm and dynamic one; is reflected in mood-elevating colors and warm interiors with wood as a favorite material reflecting warmth, beauty, timelessness.
4. What inspires you in your day-to-day architectural practice?
Creative works of art, artifacts, fabrics, detailing, finishes, look, feel and vibe of various spacious I see and experience in my daily life.
5. Who is your favorite architect?
I admire the works of Clive Wilkinson and the inventiveness of Bjarke Ingels, to name a few.
6. Do you have a signature style?
We possess versatility of style and consider ourselves to be enablers and co-creators of design along with our clients as we believe in helping bring client’s dreams into reality.
7. The one design philosophy you swear by?
We believe in design that will touch people’s lives and impact them in a positive way.
8. The one design quote you find timeless?
I personally relate to the quote by Bjarke Ingels, “yes is more”. I feel every day I wake up with more energy and ready to work. I try to exuberate the same energy in my work and the people that I work with.
9. A hobby that sets you apart?
I love connecting with people because at the end of the day it’s people that matter.
10. A message to those few young practicing Architects out there?
Be passionate, don’t give up what you love and be people centric too. As you begin your journey, I encourage you to embrace curiosity, creativity, and a passion for learning.
