Size of the project/total area : 2500 sf.

Studio Osmosis was engaged to design this space, and the first conversation was “why not give the brand a new look?”  Everyone loves Indigo Deli food and it echoes with the ambience that many have in so many years been accustomed to. So, how about that twist?

Hence, Indigo Deli was designed with a casual yet chic ambience. Not too loud, or in your face. The outdoors is casual with a vibe of sitting amongst the greens with cane and Macrame lights. It is both a restaurant and bar with a unique offering of bakery, patisserie and gourmet retail, set in an ambience of social conviviality. The restaurant design exudes a moody, casual and chic ambience using a fresh material palette and colour tone that’s bold, youthful and classy.

The indoor area has distinct zones with their own identity. “Our favourite is the custom hanging light fashioned using slinky which many of us have played with in our yesteryear’s adding that sense of nostalgia.” says the team. The booth seating has a splash of colourful tropical vibe.

With the kitchen and food as its focal point, the restaurant is laid out in an open plan seating layout. The indoor area has distinct zones with their own identity. The planning is clean and simple with zoned  spaces in the form of a raised seating area with lounge style cane seating along with a longitudinal bar which has custom printed tiles. The central area has loose seating which has the feature custom stinky light feature, which is a highlight at the entrance and banquet  seating on the left side forming cosy semi private areas. At the far end of the bakery and open counter for service.

The bar anchors the space and adds to the vibe with the neon signage “ uncork and unwind” which is the underlying mantra.

Cane furniture, tropical vibes, greens, hanging slinkies  and a magnificent large red painting defines this space. While you sit and relish the new menu at Indigo, you can’t help but think. “It’s same same but different”

Cane furniture, tropical vibes, greens, hanging slinkies  and a magnificent large red painting defines this space. The outdoors is casual with a vibe of sitting amongst the greens with cane and Macrame lights creating different kinds of seating zones for all age groups and the urge to sit in a different spot each time one returns.

The fabrics chosen add to the vibe and help create the zones further. The highlight is the hand-painted bohemian art that was conceptualised, hand-drawn and painted by the Studio Osmosis team and over 3 days with almost 10 members thus making it a labor of love.

Lighting is an important aspect of creating the new vibe keeping it flexible, casual and the right levels being able to dim for different times of the day or vibes like live music or a casual candlelight dinner.

The overall colours of the deli palette are subtle ranges of coral, whites, warm mushroom, and the Delis original blues with the warmth of dark walnut wood elements all across.
