One archetype… Two typologies
The modular office phone booths are available in ‘tall’ and ‘short’ variations to accommodate a variety of functions and durations of needed occupancy. For users searching for a peaceful enclave to hop on a quick call or tend to impromptu work or assignments, the tall phone booth is a comfortable alternative to the corridors and stairwells that offer users a soft ergonomic corner to lean on. The short phone booth provides users with a comfortably designed space to attend longer virtual meetings or channel their focus and concentration for prolonged periods of time. The booths are purposefully designed to prioritise the user’s comfort for lengths of time, outfitted with plush upholstery for the seat and armrest, ergonomic lumbar support integrated into the backrest and extra leg room at the base.
Undisruptive privacy
On the QT also features input and output fans for constant ventilation with motion-activated fans and lighting that automatically power off after five minutes to increase power efficiency. With overhead LED lighting that focuses on the work shelf and minimises shadow and glare to integrated power sockets, occupants can remain undisturbed and free from distractions for however long they need. The booths also allow users to activate a visual ‘do not disturb’ light cue to signal their unavailability and occupancy to colleagues.
Drawing inspiration from the acoustic mastery of professional recording studios, On the QT’s intuitively designed internal angled wall or ‘Kink’ minimises audio reverberation and reduces booth-to-booth sound transmission. The inner walls are composed of recycled polyester felt and upholstered acoustic baffles, which absorb sound as the user talks. The acoustic laminated glass that encases the entryway to the booth prevents the loss of critical speech frequency. This not only ensures the user will be enveloped in crisp and clear audio during virtual meetings or calls, but also mitigates the possibility of unintended eavesdropping.
Purposeful destination
Made to be assembled in just two hours, On the QT’s truckability and manoeuvrability allow the booths to be configured in varying spaces, and a selection of the short and tall booths will provide a depth of versatility to encourage users to adapt their workplace to their modes of working. On the QT also contributes to the functionality and workability of the surrounding workspace, including sleek whiteboard finishes on the outer surface for quick brainstorms or deep discussions.
